Description

The Synthesis Gas (Syngas) process converts natural gas and light hydrocarbons into a hydrogen- and carbon monoxide rich intermediate that serves as a central building block for the petrochemical value chain. Through reforming and conditioning steps, the syngas composition is adjusted to meet the required H₂/CO ratio for downstream production of ammonia, methanol, Fischer–Tropsch products, and other oxygenated chemicals. As shown in the process scheme, syngas acts as a versatile hub feeding multiple derivative pathways that maximize feedstock utilization and product flexibility.

Reliable analytical and process instrumentation are essential to maintain reformer performance, protect catalysts, and ensure precise downstream synthesis conditions. Key monitoring objectives include H₂/CO ratio control, CO and CO₂ measurement, methane slip, oxygen monitoring, moisture management, and calorific value verification. Our solutions support syngas generation and conversion units with advanced online analyzers and instrumentation helping operators optimize conversion efficiency, maintain product quality, and ensure safe, stable plant operation.
